1/26: Cool Catnaps

Salud,
Ze winters of South Carolina are mild. This humid marshy landscape doesn’t compare to ze frigid slopes of Mount Blanc that tower over Charmonix, France. Since I am at ze mercy of others, I have never visited, but I can feel ze joie de vivre of those Alpine glaciers deep within my bones.

Thus, even in Winter, I still remain outside all day. There is always much to monitor, scout and catch during each and every season on this Earth.
However, there are days in ze South that ze temperature stays below 50 even at high noon. Days like these are perfect for a crisp catnap.

Take today for example: I was awake and roaming ze Crawford Territory by 4:30 am. By 11:30 am, I had eaten lunch, was fully hydrated and felt confident that ze property was secure. It was a beautiful day, ideal for a cool respite in a sunny location.

A favorite spot of mine is ze red metal ramp that Barbe Rouge found in Fangorn Forest. This simple device was originally intended for raising ze elevation for a human automobile. Now it offers an ideal snooze spot, especially when heated by ze morning sun.
This is one of ze more peaceful catnap locations with it being nestled among ze ivy, ferns and ginger lilies. So peaceful in fact, that I found it easy to ignore Ze Silly One who kept asking me how my day was going.

In due time, ze sun will continue its westward path towards ze horizon. My metal will cool and I will awake fresh and invigorated to capture ze remainder of ze day.
Au revoir,
Lé Toots
