1/31: Cool Catnap - Vol. II

Salud,

When the marshes are quiet and only brisk breezes stir, the Winter season is indeed comfortable. There is less activity from creatures that are allowed to exist within Crawford Territory. It is a time for calm observations and cool catnaps.

Although rarer this time of year, sneaky lizards are still known to sneak within under-brushes. Laying in hanging planters provides the necessary perch to remain keen whilst resting.

Here, I become one with the dirt and if you water me, I shall grow.

A less predatory rest area for felines such as my noble self is none other than the green lounge chair.

Here, a perfect balance of supreme comfort and territorial awareness; despite annoying humans taking photos of me sleeping.

As sturdy as its former owner, this chair was a gift from an esteemed old man who was told to be made of pure iron. I was honored to be his neighbor many moons ago.

Legends say portions of his mighty metal limbs were cast from the molten iron of broken doorknobs. A reliable neighbor with the best chairs, I trust he is well and still breaking down the doors of absent minded humans.

Of course, I must not forget the majesty that comes with napping on my yellow throne. I'm grateful for this indoor alternative for when I must retreat from freezing rain or cold wind gusts. Here, this soft warm pallet to nuggle is as these beautiful as these crisp Winter days.

In time, the days will grow longer and, before long, I'll be seeking these comforts again next January for Cool Catnap Volume III.

Au revoir,

Lé Toots
