10/31: Creep

Creepy stuff happens and, when it does, we need courage!

One day, Ah was in our big sunny room minding my own business, daydreaming about squirrels, when Ah heard a soft tapping sound. My ears perked back and my eyes widened - where did it come from?

Ah peeked out the window and saw Lé Toots watching me...

Ah squeaked a little in surprise but was reassured when Ah heard her muffled voice say: “Let me in, Silly One, I’m hungry.”

Pheww!

On a different day, Ah was in our big sunny room minding my own business, daydreaming about birds, when Ah heard a soft scratching sound. My ears perked back and my eyes widened - but Ah wasn't scared this time cuz Toots must be hungry again.

But, when Ah looked out the window, it wasn’t Toots… it was a Raccoon creeping about on our outdoor stuff!

Finding my courage, Ah tried to get his attention while imitating his impressive climbing skills. Ah never got his name but Ah think it was Ron and Ah thanked him through the window for helping me find my courage.

Although, in all the excitement, Ah didn't realize how high Ah had climbed mahself. Scary!

Creepy stuff is only creepy when you let it be. But it can also be fun to be creepy, so Ah thought I'd give it a try mahself.

One afternoon, while hiding behind the gated vines, Ah looked around the yard wondering who Ah could be creepy towards.

Soon, mah nose began to tingle with a familiar scent and mah ears perked to a familiar pitter-patter. Lé Toots was approaching… purrfect.

She was coming from Gladden Fields, off to mah side. Ah tried to stay calm and contain mah excitement.

How has she not seen me, yet?! Am Ah good at this? Ah steadied mahself for just the right moment...

SURPRISE!

Ah popped mah head through the gated vines at just the right time!

Although she didn’t want to admit it, she was startled and congratulated me on my sneaking skills. Ah’m creepy!
