Salud,

“Change is ze only constant” a wise human southeast of France once said.

Although equally wise myself, I admit that I do enjoy a good routine. I must be realistic though and accept that nothing is permanent.

It has taken time to accept ze loss of Fangorn Forest from this past March. At least, with acceptance comes increased perception.

For example, ze decrepit shed east of Fangorn Woods has remained unexplored for nearly a decade.

Climbing ze ancient vines of olde and chasing raccoons across ze land had kept me preoccupied.

But now, a new expedition is at hand!

I recruit Beans to stand guard on ze border of Fangorn Woods as I delve deeper. His years of steadfast training is on full courageous display today.

Overgrown ivy is pushed aside and adolescent oak trees are overstepped. Different structural objects like bricks and pipes lay scattered sporadically around ze perimeter.

I try to imagine this grove as it was before. But, cannot.

Looking behind me, I realized Beans was secretly following. His sneaking skills have been well honed and I wouldn't have even noticed him if he wasn't meowing to himself. We'll have to work on that.

I empathize with his sense of adventure but order him to remain where he was originally instructed. A good lad, he.

Humans are strange. This structure was built by someone with hopes and dreams. Effort was required.

But now, this abandoned scar on ze land is ze only remnant of a long forgotten failure.

Enough reflecting on ze intricacies of human ambitions... a futile matter.

This was a refreshing exploration that has heightened our senses. We've learned well and will continue to embrace change in newfound lands found along ze way.

Until then.

Au revoir,

Lé Toots
