12/30: Warmth

It's officially mah second winter which means time to snuggle up! Lé Toots enjoys to lay under the sun outside in the elements but Ah prefer a nice nap on a soft blankey near a warm bum.

Just before mah favorite day, mah Mum and Red Beard left home. Lé Toots and Ah both knew they wouldn't return for sometime when the old man who scoops our poop came over. It wasn't all bad though, he is very generous with the food. Toots impressively threw little fuss over the matter, even when Ah pooped in her box.

But right when Ah thought all hope for presents was lost, they returned on Christmas Eve!

Toots' present was a special sack to lay in. Ah've never seen anything like it, but my smart sissy knew exactly what it was for. Now, instead of simply closing her eyes to avoid looking at meh, Toots can just hide in her present.

However, with her cloaked in plain view, Ah have created a hide-and-seek game. Ah enjoy sneaking up on her for a good poke. Ah’ve considered laying in it mahself, but Le Toots really likes her present.

Mah present was a stool! Or maybe a hidey hole covered in rope? Ah haven’t quite figured out it’s purpose yet. Ah asked sissy, but she just ignored meh and told meh to keep mah paws off her sack.

Bun Bun keeps telling me to scratch it, but Ah already have a scratching post. Although it recently disappeared. Ah'm confident Ah'll figure it out and that it is a special present just for meh.

Ah guess since mah favorite day is over, it must be getting closer to a new year. If that's the case, Ah had a very fun year! Ah made lizard friends, learned how to protect mah family and know all about macaroni air pickles now. Ah’ve got knowledge and Ah’m only 1 year old! Ah wonder what Toots and Ah will both know when Ah'm 2?
