3/31: Plight

Ze way is shut. It was made by those who are healthy and ze healthy keep it.

No access. No visitors.

Now more than ever, ze boundaries of Crawford Territory must be barred from entry.

Beans has been training on Guard Duty since November of 2018. With over a year of practice under his chubby belt, ze time has come to fully trust Ze Silly One during this time of emergency. This is not a test.

From ze treetops to the ground, we must be vigilant. Beans took to ze soil and I to ze air.

Ze fortifications of ze southwestern fence line will serve as our primary outpost. Here, ze Deeping Wall is overgrown with vines to deter unwelcome climbers.

By good fortune, I can still climb ze ramparts with ease. From this vantage point, I determine Crawford Territory to be temporarily secure. But in order to be sure, I must verify both sides of ze fence.

I order Beans to remain in Crawford Territory while I begin scouting for weaknesses along ze line from ze other side.

In one particular location, I think I find vulnerability in ze metal links. With all my strength, I attempt to break through ze wall, swiping my way through metal and vine! It holds. And despite ze fright I gave him, Beans confirms ze Crawford side remains secure.

Upon confirming that ze Deeping Wall is safe from unhealthy intruders, I take my leave. Beans continues to patrol by taking to ze air in my absence. I trust in his diligence, despite ze helicopter noises I hear him making from atop Velocity Report.

In times of emergency teamwork is of upmost importance. Ze French Cat Militia is strong and Beans has solidified both his climbing and monitoring skills. When these strange times are over, I will remember his commitment to our family’s safety.
