Walcome,

From the time Ah was a mere kitten, Ah’ve been an explorer. Like my Scottish ancestors before me, Ah’ve had the ambition to seek new boundaries and find new friends. In ages past, the couch was a large object of exploration before Ah realized the outside world existed.

With the help of Bun Bun, mah trusted living room friend, Ah used to search every nook and cranny. Ah can’t believe Ah was ever small enough to fit in between the couch cushions! The joys of being small, sneaky and squeaky.

Ah still wonder how Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson are doing these days. Ah hope they are guid and breathing well under there. Ah recently asked my petite Sissy to check on my couch friends but she just responded with “I can not even begin to take you seriously.”

But my kitten days are behind me, because today Ah'm Two Years Old! While outside on a Birthday Boy Adventure, Ah came upon a new friend and immediately introduced mahself. This creature was a wise turtle named TutTut that said he'd been traveling for days just to see me!

TutTut told me that it was guid to slow down sometimes and to enjoy life at a slower pace. Ah really liked TutTut but Ah was confused as to how he knew me.

TutTut responded in a slow and resounding voice: "My dear Beans, you are well known amongst all the animals of Gladden Fields and Fangorn Forest. Lé Toots mentions you often and even informed me your birthday was approaching."

The approval of Toots is the best birthday gift Ah could've ask for! And with that, Ah watched Mr. TutTut the Turtle walk back towards the forest . . . for most of the afternoon.

What a special day and a special year! Ah’ve made so many friends: Slinky the skink, Luckey the lizard and now Mr. TutTut the turtle. Ah’ve learned life lessons and today Ah learned my Sissy really does like me! Ah liked being a kitten, but Ah love being me.

Hae a guid day,

Beans
