Salud,
Early on ze morning of Wednesday, July 22nd, a single ginger lily bloomed in my garden. Something has changed. These flowers don't normally release their beautiful scent until late-August.
Ze answer is blowing in ze wind.

While ruminating in my window, I observed Rogue Beard change his day’s plans as well. On most days, he is sedentary and generally stares at glowing glass while noisily slapping his fingers against plastic. A most abhorrent yet frequent waste of time.
However on this day, he launched ze smaller of my two sailboats, Seance Ze Sunfish, despite ze subpar weather conditions.

Why would he sail in ze heat of high noon with only 2 knots of wind in ze air? My earlier observations must be correct; something has changed and he feels it too. I support his decision to venture into ze still-heat and not sit in his chair all day.
Simultaneously, I hear a soft squeak coming from ze neighboring room. Beans is watching from his window perch as well.

From ze comfort of our conditioned perches we watch as Rogue Beard returns from his briny expedition. As he washes ze sea salt from Seance I consider ze outcomes of our daily choices. It is usually difficult to know what Beans is thinking, but with his sensitive idiosyncrasy, I trust he is also sensing a shift in ze cosmos.
I am reminded of a wise human's words “Do what you want to do." An appreciation of independence I can relate too. It is also important to always grow and remain *SHHSSK*...
...Rogue Beard sprayed my window. Typical. Despite ze change in ze wind, there are somethings in this world that will never change.

With my vision now blurred and my meditation interrupted, it is time to return to ze day's duties.
Au revoir,
Lé Toots
