Salud,
During the last summer cycle, I spoke of territorial conquest. And, chipmunks.
Since then, our territory has been fully established and officially claimed as mine! Perdón, I mean to say “officially claimed for the French Cat Militia”…

Now, we have entered an exciting era that I have designated the Northern Growth.

I shall always be astounded by the rapid pace of growth from the flora of these lands. As if in contrast, I elect to slow down and settle into a comfortable location to watch the process unfold.
This method ensures that I fully enjoy the joys that each day brings.

First, the dandelions always arrive in full force. One strong breeze sends hundreds of these little poofs skywards.
Or, if Beans decides to sprint through them, of course.

Soon after the coming of the poofs, our azalea bush transforms. This is always worth getting up for.

It's difficult to describe this unbelievable pink vibrancy. A closer inspection is warranted in order to verify that these flowers are actually real.

I can confirm that these wonders are, in fact, real pretty.

So long as the days stay warm, wildflowers remain aplenty. Long winters inside the big box reinforce the gratitude I feel out here.

From the richness of these bountiful colors,
To these textures enveloping me within tall grasses,
To these fresh winds coursing through my lungs,
I am happy.

Are you?
Au revoir,
Lé Toots
