8/31: Infinity and Beyond

Ah was waking up one snoozy afternoon with big, special breaths. Those special breaths sure are special, especially outdoors. Invigorating aromas of salt and ginger lilies fill my belly!

Ready for the rest of the day, Ah tell Lé Toots guid afternoon. She doesn’t like talking much, but she’ll usually tell me how she is if Ah ask her how she is.

But this afternoon she was different. Did she miss her nap? Ah told her Ah didn’t miss mine and she just stared at me.

She told me to say goodbye to Sport. Ah knew something was apaw!

Sport carried a final sailboat outside of Crawford territory some months ago, but Ah suppose the time had come. Even though Ah was a super good helper in June of last year, Sport unfortunately continued to be a big, blue decoration.

At least we can all say that we all tried our best to fix Sport and not have any regrets for trying our best.

We had so much fun over the years with good ole Sport. Our fires this Fall won't be the same without Sport's ever reassuring presence.

But, like the many animals that have perished in Crawford Territory over the years, Sport would want me to have fun and not be sad. So, let's have some fun!

Ah jumped to the top and gave Sport lots of love with my fuzzy face.

While embracing Sport, Ah was inspired with a brilliant idea! Ah got Toots' attention to make sure she knew Ah was honoring Sport with some fun.

Ah looked at the ground and realized how high Ah was. But, Sport wouldn't want me to be afraid.

To Infinity and Beyond!

Wow! Once on Velocity Report, Ah was still feeling super brave and decided to walk the plank.

Nope, too high! Maybe next time, but Ah'm glad Ah tried.

After mah goodbye adventures with Sport, Ah let Toots have her own final moments to say goodbye.

Ah needed a rest and found comfort in the not-so-hot shade of Sport, one last time.

Toots and Ah don’t like change too much, especially when it involves our belongings. But Ah guess, sometimes, change is guid. Good luck in the great beyond, Sport!
